What if this card's effect become official? Takuto
Episode 156 of the Vanguard anime aired on last saturday, and all I have to say is... What? Don't read on if you haven't watched the episode yet, unless you want spoilers.
The main point of focus for this article is Reverse Takuto's newest ace: Star-vader "Omega" Grandiose. It brought terror to the Vanguard universe and it's quite a complicated unit. We're all still unsure of what exactly it does, but we can assume it looks something like this:
What if this card's effect become official? Vlcsnap-2014-01-12-16h17m52s187
(remember, this is effect is based on the anime and its UNCONFIRMED for the official effect)

[AUTO](VC) Limit Break 5 (This ability is active if you have five or more damage):At the beginning of your main phase, if the number of your opponent's locked cards is five, you win the fight.
[ACT](VC) Limit Break 4 (This ability is active if you have four or more damage):[Counter Blast (1) & Choose one card with "Reverse" in its card name from your hand, and discard it] During your opponent's next end phase, all of your opponent's locked cards cannot be unlocked and stay locked until the end of your opponent's next turn.
[AUTO](VC):When a unit with "Reverse" in its card name is placed on your (RC), choose one of your opponent's rear-guards, and lock it. This ability cannot be used for the rest of that turn.
[CONT](VC):During your turn, all of your rear-guards with "Reverse" in its card name are also «Link Joker», and those units get [Power]+4000.
[CONT](VC/RC): Lord (If you have a unit without a same clan as this unit, this unit cannot attack)

Maybe we can start from Ultimate Break. When you're at five damage and your opponent has five Locked units, you win the fight. That sounds really absurd on paper. Of course, its practicalities are very low considering it's really easy to play around. As long as you keep a maximum of four units on the board this unit has no way of ending the game, since they can't Lock five. Still, we haven't really seen Bushiroad pull out an alternative win card until now, so perhaps this card is a milestone in that regard. Unless the actual card has a different effect, however, your opponent would have to be stupid to let this happen to them.

Next up is its regular Limit Break. You can counterblast 1 and discard any Reverse unit from your hand to prevent your opponent's Locked units from becoming unlocked in the next end phase. This effect works similarly to Prison Gate Star-vader, Palladium, except with a much weirder cost. Discard any Reverse unit? Any vanguard player would realize that this means you're crossing clans in this deck, and while "Omega" Grandiose comes with a CONT skill to mitigate this, it's still a really weird thing for Bushiroad to put on a card. Basically all of the Reverse units so far would essentially be vanillas in this deck because their skills revolve around their own clans, but for a skill like this, they could have potential.

Next, once per turn when you call a Reverse unit, "Omega" Grandiose gets to Lock a unit. This encourages you even more to add the Reverse units to the deck, and I don't blame them for adding this. This sort of makes the Reverse units something other than vanilla in this deck, which is good. In addition to this, all Reverse units on your side of the field become Link Joker units and gain +4000 power. This is helpful mainly because of the Lord skills that all of your grade 3's possess, and the additional power isn't that bad either. Without this key component, running Reverse units in here would clearly not equate to the payoff they give you. Though, there are still obvious downsides to running Reverse units in this deck. For one, it messes up your 4:4 Boss and Break Ride combination, and two, riding them puts you in the worst spot possible. If you have any Reverse unit as your vanguard, not only do all of your supporting Link Joker units get shut down, your vanguard can't attack due to its Lord skill. The deck then becomes one where you ride "Omega" Grandoise or Infinite Zero or else you lose, which is problematic because you need to be able to balance all of your grade 3's.

I don't really know what my verdict would be for this card. It has an alternate win condition and it has very powerful locking skills, but in turn it comes with so many problems attached to it. We also don't know the official text on the card so the effects might be different than what we think. Tell us what you think of this new monstrosity card, and thanks for reading.

Note: That 21000 power on the picture is from break riding, the original power is 11000

The thing about Grandiose is that he gives the game an alternate win condition, which is actually good for the game. It requires thought to make a deck around him and forces your opponent to change their style, so the game won't be so boring with the same strategies every game. You made a lot of valid points on what makes Gradiose weak, but how about what makes him so strong?

Ultimate Break:
His Ultimate Break is my favorite thing about him. It's an alternate win condition that's hard to meet, but extremely satisfying if accomplished. I mean come on, think about it. His skill name literally involves the world crumbling beneath your opponent's feet, allowing you the satisfaction of watching them fall into a pit of despair that they can never recover from. Locking 5 is no easy task, locking 5 over multiple turns is even harder. Locking 5 when your opponent knows it's coming is downright not gonna happen, but that's what makes him SO POWERFUL. He forces your opponent to play a weaker field, which helps on defense, but also, let's take a look at his Limit Break.

Limit Break:
This is what makes Grandiose so powerful. You don't even have to go for his Ultimate Break. Here's a rundown of how an average game against a Grandiose player who isn't dumb would be:

-Breakride (lock 2)
-Call a Reverse, lock the remaining front row.
-Omega Lock
-Your opponent has one unboosted Vanguard attack, a 15k to no pass it with no threat of a rear guard gaining power.
-Draw
-Omega Lock
-Attack with 21k Colums errday
-Wash, Rinse, Repeat.

You keep your opponent on a triangle lock and leave them powerless. This is the true threat of Grandiose, his Ultimate Break isn't his biggest threat.

Clan Overwrite:
Holy mother of Luquier I love this skill, but it's a double edged sword. You can gain 15k attackers on your turn, but if you're forced to ride it, you're boned. But that's where World Line Dragon comes into play, I'll talk about him later.

So there's the main aspects of Grandiose. Now, let's talk about his support. His starter, mainly.

Star-Vader, World Line Dragon
G0/Link Joker/Boost

[AUTO](VC/Soul):[Choose a card with "Reverse" in its name from your hand, and discard it] At the beginning of your ride phase, if you have a «Link Joker» vanguard, and your vanguard is not grade 3 or greater, you may pay the cost. If you do, look at five cards from the top of your deck, search for up to one «Link Joker», reveal it to your opponent, put it into your hand, and shuffle your deck.

This guy is literally a Link Joker version of Ichibiyoshi, but better. Every turn, before you ride, you can discard a reverse to check top 5 for a Link Joker. ANY Link Joker. It's made to forgive running a high amount of Grade 3s, allowing for wonky lineups to actually be somewhat consistent.

All in all Grandiose is a great card, he just requires some thought on how to utilize him to his maximum potential.

There's a lot of other cards we haven't seen yet either, like Cold Death Dragon. He's only an 8k, so for him to be an 8k AND be a Star-Vader, his skill has to be deadly. We'll just have to wait and see.

You can use double unicorn with colony maker and call a reverse unit. That being said, you can easily win. However, not all clans tend to have 5 rearguards to lock.
